Keep it Local

Keep it Local was founded by Sarah Nixon of Recruitment Now and encourages companies to look at what they spend and where. After looking at her own business spending Sarah realised that only 51% of it was going to businesses in the North East, and so the Keep it Local campaign was born. Sarah then asked Danielle Dunn and her creative agency DDCA to help her launch the campaign. 

In 2011 we have committed to reviewing our spending habits and making and effort to spend locally wherever possible. Keep it Local is calling upon other locally owned SMEs to do the same and help us to give our own economy the boost that it needs.

Keep it Local is a not for Profit Campaign and we are looking for supporters today. It costs nothing to support the campaign, supporters are simply asked to show some commitment to giving orders to other North East business. Companies signing up so far cover a wide variety of sectors from manufacturing firms to commercial catering.
